Many studies have have reported to show that children raised in gay and lesbian households fare no worse than those reared in traditional families. In an article, "Homosexual Parenting: Placing children at risk", written by Timothy J. Dailey Ph.D. says that much of that research fails to meet acceptable standards for psychological research. Also Dailey states that many of theses studies are done by openly lesbian researchers.
Daliey states that the studies are biased because of a sample size and samples are not diverse. If a study is only conducted on six families, three being traditional and three being non traditional, if all the families are cacasion, middle class, and well educated then sample is biased. If a study is only conducted on two families, one being traditional and one being non traditional, then the sample is biased.
However Dailey writes that research on gay and lesbian parents is fairly new. Also studies do not show that gay men and lesbians are unfit parents. Dailey's article brings about a great point. The bias in studies can affect its results.

Your post is really confusing. Are you saying that the research done to this point is flawed or that it is correct? I think that you would have a really good point if you established your point of view and then wrote more clearly about the topic.
Elizabeth what I was trying to point out was that most of the reseach is biased. For most of the samples chosen the reseach is done well, but the groups are small and not very diverse.
This issue of gay adoption is itself fairly new, therefore the research conducted is going to be limited. I would think the data will become more interesting when it can be conducted without bias. Once more information and data is collected, hopefully this issue's data will become less biased. Seeing that most of the research is biased it brings me to the point of not having a true opionion about the issue, being that most of the information I have known is not accurate. This is a very important topic to bring up so people will know the information being brought to them, in which they are basing thier decsion on, is not necessarily unbiased and accurate.
I think that you brought up a good point about the tests possibly being biased. This is good to bring up because many people like to take studies as always being correct when in actuality they may not be. However, I think it would be better to show some studies that have more reliablity behind them to prove your stance on the issue.
As trailrunner89 pointed out it is good to know that some of the studies done are inaccurate because they are biased. I am currently doing reseach in order to ensure that the studies I look at a more creditable.
