Same-sex parents are becoming more accepted in society. Same-sex parents are seeing the difference in heterosexual acceptance over the past decade. Children of gay parents are now being allowed in many private schools, including Christian schools. Clergy members are indirectly blessing gay-headed families by baptizing their children. There is an increased availability of donor banks and surrogate mothers for same-sex couples. Also the rise in gay-headed families has been aided by a greater willingness among adoption agencies to accept gay men and lesbians as parents.
There is also a rise in sites dedicated to supporting children of same-sex couples. Such as the site made by the the Youth Leadership and Action Program of COLAGE (Children Of Lesbians and Gays Everywhere) that has tips for teachers on classroom safety for children of same-sex couples. These sites and attitude of society is helping gay couples feel more accepted.

So first off I just want to say that your political cartoon is great.Second, I think it's great that there is more support for homosexuals. In the world today people are just afraid of anything that is different, but over time people seem to "get over it" once the shock is gone.
I think your cartoon is a very good point to make about the church! It fits well with your issue. As like all other new and different ideas, such as gay adoption, over time the issue becomes less and less of a hot topic and people start to accept the matter. Seen as wrong and controversial to the public, over time gay adoption will become a more accepted process. Do you think it is okay that this issue will most likely fall by the wayside over time?

I do believe that as time progresses people will become more acceptable of gay people in general. Eventually it will not be considered weird because more and more people we'll become comfortable with themselves.
